Ford Motor is scheduled to release its third-quarter earnings after the markets close on Wednesday, giving investors a fresh look at how the Detroit automaker is performing as it works through production challenges.

Based on the average of analyst estimates compiled by LSEG, Wall Street expects adjusted earnings per share of 40 cents and automotive revenue of $46.24 billion. If those figures hold, revenue would be down about 2% from a year earlier, while adjusted earnings per share would fall roughly 11%.

The comparison point is a solid one. In the third quarter of 2025, Ford posted $47.19 billion in automotive revenue, net income of $2.4 billion and adjusted earnings per share of 45 cents.

Much of the attention will be on the company's F-Series pickup trucks, especially the F-150, which is central to Ford's business. The automaker has spent much of the past year recovering from supplier problems that hampered truck production. Toward the end of September, however, it hit a separate and unrelated supplier issue that disrupted F-150 manufacturing.

Ford reported that F-150 production slipped from more than 57,500 units in August to fewer than 43,000 in September. The company has said the disruption is "containable within" its existing 2026 adjusted earnings guidance.

Analysts generally expect Ford to keep its 2026 outlook in place. They are not united, though, on how much the F-150 disruption will ultimately weigh on third-quarter results. Investors will also be watching for any changes or surprises in the company's warranty costs.

Ford's current 2026 guidance calls for adjusted earnings before interest and taxes of between $10 billion and $11 billion, along with adjusted free cash flow of $6 billion to $7 billion. Whether the company reaffirms those targets is likely to be a key takeaway from Wednesday's report.
